U.S. issued World MasterCard and Canadian Visa Card Auto Rental Insurance may allow you to waive the cost of Theft Protection and Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) for car rental in Ireland. However this cover is ONLY available with certain MasterCard’s issued by US banks and some Canadian Visa card programs. This coverage is a service provided by MasterCard/Visa Canada to their cardholders and therefore it is the card holder’s responsibility to ensure that they are adequately covered for the entire rental period. Because all modern car keys are chip encoded they are expensive to replace, in the unlikely event of key loss the main driver will be liable for replacement costs. Please note that cars cannot be stolen without the key therefore it is important that keys are kept in a safe place.

In common with most Airport Car Rental Companies a standard location surcharge of € 25 Including Vat applies to rentals at Dublin/Cork/Shannon Airports

Baby seats and booster seats are available on request and should be booked when reserving your car. Our baby seats are forward facing and are suitable for children aged from 9 months up to 4 years depending on the size of the child. Our booster seats are suitable for children aged from 2 years up to 8 years. Both are charged at € 6 per day

If you chose a rate that includes CDW you may want to purchase additional cover, Super Damage Waver Insurance (SDW) reduces your limited liability in case of damage to the Atlas car. SDW reduces your excess liability of € 900 to zero at a cost of € 12 per day for most cars. On luxury cars and people carriers the excess liability is € 1500 and can be reduced to €0 for a charge of € 15 per day.

For your convenience your car will be provided with a full tank of fuel at a discounted charge. This method eliminates the need for you to refuel the tank prior to returning. If you chose to return with a full tank your credit card will be refunded the appropriate amount. Please note that cash refunds are not possible. Please be aware that we are unable to give a refund for unused fuel
