Ireland - An Introduction

Situated on the very west of Europe, Ireland is an island nation with a culture and people distinctly unique from the rest of Europe. The Irish people see themselves as European, but closely guard their national identity. For such a small country, Ireland has made a big impact on a global scale with either Irish people or decedents of Irish people living in every corner of the globe. No matter where you go, you will meet an Irish man or woman.

The Climate of Ireland is cool temperate oceanic which means that the weather in Ireland is usually a very mixed bag. It is often said that you should prepare to experience all four seasons during one day in Ireland. However, due to Global Warming, Ireland has enjoyed wonderful dry warm Summers over the last number of years. The winters are generally mild and the summers are warm with temperatures reaching a max of 25 usually. Snow is rare in Ireland and during the winter frosts are expected.

There are a huge number of attractions worth visiting in Ireland and it can be hard to decide what to do. If you can, try and get outside of Dublin and visit some of the other Irish cities and surrounding attractions.
